1944 - 2014
Gerald Orsie Alexander age 70 of Sheridan passed away suddenly at home Saturday March 22, 2014. He was born January 11,1944 in Lansing the son of Orsie and Nevalor (Cutie Trumble) Alexander. He married Diane Thayer on September 19,1964 at Mud Lake Church and worked at Electrolux (Gibson) and Crystal Township DTW and was a life member of Sportsmans Club.
He enjoyed spending time with his family, camping with grandchildren, hunting, mushrooming, the casino, auctions and yard-selling, morning coffee at Crystal Café and being one of Charlies(Santa) Angels at Charlies Wagon Train.
He is survived by his wife Diane, children; Carolyn Southward (John Curoski), Todd and Leilani Alexander, Mark and Ann Alexander, Fred and Sandy (Cooper) Alexander, Grandchildren; Kevin and Brooke(Kain) Southward, Trisha Alexander and Scott, Tyler and Ashley Gregg, Tanner and Lyndsey Alexander, Mitchell, Sydnee, Trevor, Haylie and Madison Alexander, Douglas Weaver, Adam and Amber Moffett, Darwin and Dakota Lake, Great Grand daughters, Kehinnyde and Lillian , his sister Delores Yeasley, sister-in-law and brother-in-law Pat and Jr. Searles, mother-in-law, Brownie Thayer, Adopted children, grandchildren and great grand children The Hansen Family and many nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother-in-law Frank Yeasley.
Cremation has taken place and a service for friends and family will be announced at a later date. Memorial contributions should be directed to the family. Messages of condolence may be sent via hurstfuneralhome.com.
