Hello Peggy, So sorry to hear of the passing of your husband. I read this in the newspaper and realize this was your husband. Then my daughter-in-law last night had mention that she has gone to the funeral home and I asked for who and she told me for your husband viewing. I told Karen Childers that we had been friends since Elementary school days. It's such a small world. Maybe sometime we can run into one another some time soon. You will be in our thoughts and prayers. Hugs.

Stephan Douglas Stewart, 63, of Barboursville, WV, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 22, 2014. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am Tuesday, March 25, 2014 at the Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel by Dr. David Lemming. Burial will be in Woodmere Memorial Park, Huntington. He was born October 3, 1950 in Sistersville, WV, a son of the late Lawrence and Anise Schofield Stewart. He was a retired Captain Conservation Officer with the Department of Natural Resources. He was a member of Lewis Memorial Baptist Church, the National Wildlife Turkey Federation and the NRA. He is survived by his wife, Peggy McCartney Stewart; two daughters, Ashley Stewart of Lewisburg, WV, and Heather Stewart of Huntington; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Warren and Mary Stewart of Sistersville, WV and David and Dianna Stewart of Middlebourne, WV. Visitation will be from 6-8 pm Monday at the Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville. Memorial contributions may be made to Lewis Memorial Baptist Church.
