Beatrice 'Mama Bea Meredith Click for Condolences      Printable Version
1921 - 2014

Beatrice 'Mama Bea MeredithBeatrice Meredith, "Mama Bea", left this life to be received into the welcoming arms of our loving Father on May 20, 2014. Bea was born on August 13, 1921, in Hemphill, Texas, to J.B. and Nettie King.

Bea dedicated herself to raising her three boys Bill, Gene and Burke. She was active for many years in the PTA and little league, and after her boys were grown she worked and retired from BISD. She prided herself on a clean house and an immaculate yard. She was also an excellent cook and loved to cook for her family and friends. She was famous for her homemade pies. She loved to crochet and make gifts for others. Bea was a member of First Baptist Loeb of Lumberton and loved being a part of the Young at Heart Group. Her home for the last four years was Summer Place where she met many new friends and could always be found at the bingo table.

Bea is survived by her son Bill and his wife De'Esta of The Woodlands, TX, son Burke and his wife Donna of Beaumont, TX, daughter in law Peggy Meredith of Lumberton, TX, 9 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren. Bea is preceded in death by her son Gene Meredith of Lumberton.

Thank you to Summer Place for the wonderful care and love she received.

Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m Friday, May 23rd, at Farmers Funeral Home in Silsbee, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m Saturday at Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee. The burial will follow in Hemphill, TX.

I m so sorry for your loss. The Bible gives us hope of a resurrection, this is a provision from Jehovah God showing his undeserved kindness. Revelation 21:4,4. Jehovah is close to the brokenhearted; He saves those who are crushed in spirit. Psalm 34:18. Please accept my sincere condolences.
