Dear family, I had the privelge of knowing Barbara only through our phone conversations as her "Humana nurse" over the past 4 years. I cherished her with all my heart and grieve with you at her passing. She was so brave in her illness and constantly renewed her trust in the Lord and thankfulness for all the goodness he bestowed her. She was an inspiration to me and I shall miss her voice dearly. Know you are all in my prayers.

I had Ms. Lauvrey in 5th grade at Ona Elementary. I also went to church with her and her family for many years in Milton. I was hospitalized in my 6th grade year and she came to visit me several times and even taught me how to play solitaire. She was so sweet and kind but never let her students get the best of her. Her laugh and smile stick with me even to this day. My condolences to her family but take comfort knowing she most definitely has a place in heaven.

So sorry to the family for their loss. You will be remembered in my prayers. Mrs. Lauvray was my 5th grade teacher at Ona Elementary, and I have very found memories of her. She was a wonderful teacher, full of smiles and kindness. I also remember that she had the Golden Rule hanging above the door frame and we always said a prayer before we went to lunch. She will be remembered fondly.
