Ryan Tylor Bellinger

1974 - 2014

Ryan T. Bellinger age 40 of Belding passed away Sunday June 8, 2014 from injuries in an auto accident. He was born in Greenville February 13, 1974 the son of Terry L. and Vicki J.(Wood) Bellinger.

Ryan was a graduate of Greenville High School with the class of 1992 and worked in the construction field most of his life. He was a people person and enjoyed being with people and spending time in the outdoors. He was a licensed pilot and really enjoyed flying.

He was preceded in death by his mother Vicki in 2013 and both of his grandfathers, Thornton Bellinger and Robert Wood.

He is survived by his father Terry L.(Susan) Bellinger, his grandmothers, Evelyn Bellinger and Virginia Wood, his sisters, Tiffany MacIntyre and Monica Bellinger, his brother Brechen MacIntyre, nieces and nephews, Dillon, Isabell, Mitchell and Gabrielle, several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A time of visitation and a memorial gathering will be held on Thursday June 12 from 4 to 5 PM with his uncle, Mick Bellinger leading the memorial at 5 PM at Hurst Funeral Home. A Private family inurnment of his remains will be in Two Rivers Cemetery, Isabella County, Michigan.

Memorial contributions may be given to a charity of your choosing.

From Terry Bellinger to family and friends. Ryan's loss has put me in a category of which I hope you never have to go. For I have lost a son. A son or daughter should bury you, not the other way around. Embrace your son, embrace your daughter. Look at them, hold them, smell them, enjoy them, love them with all your heart. May I tell you, take my word for this, to lose them is beyond terrible. Other parents have, but I didn't know how they felt until it happened to me. Terry

Many fond memories of the Wood Family in Michigan and Florida. I have always felt part of the family. May our Lord be with you all during this time.

My name is Terry Bellinger. I am Ryan's father. Firstly, I would like to thank everyone for attending Ryan's memorial and those of you who mailed cards to me. Ryan would be so proud. I would especially like to thank Jim and Lois Miller for being at our side. They flew in from Bailey, Colorado on Thursday 6-12 and are returning home today. Lois is Susan's sister and Jim Miller is my brother-in-law and best friend. Thank you Jim and Lois. Many, many years ago when Ryan was a little boy, his sister Tiffany started calling him Terry's Shadow. I took him everywhere. Monica, Brechen and his mom Vicki often referred to Ryan as Terry's Shadow. On Tuesday of this week, we met at Hurst Funeral Home to make arrangements for Ryan's memorial. I asked Michael Hurst to take me to Ryan and he did. As I stood over Ryan, looking at my handsome son, I thought "Ryan, open your eyes. Please, open your eyes." But no, that can't happen. And then it came to me, Terry's Shadow, God wanted Terry's Shadow. My son is gone. And I am so very, very sad. I love you Ryan. God Bless you. Good Bye.

Ryan was so full of life, spirit, and fun. We shared a birthday,many good times, and good talks. I will remember him for all those things, and am glad I had the chance to know him. My thoughts are with his family now. Rest in Peace Ryan.

Ryan worked for me on Beaver Island. It's because of him that I was blessed with my amazing dog Emma for over 14 years. His sister had give her to Ryan as a gift and he just didn't feel he could care for her. We took her and have always had that connection with Ryan since. I am saddened to hear of his passing. He was a good soul.
