I was saddened to hear about Tim's passing. I feel bad for not knowing that the time was near, and even worse for being away during the days that followed. My daughter needed me to make arrangements for her to stay in Cincinnati after her OB appointment, when they strongly recommendedd she stay near Cincinnati Children's hospital until she delivers her baby. My yet to be born grandson is doing fine, but can't survive outside the womb without critical care due to a serious heart defect that will require immediate open heart sugery. I was the only one available for this on such quick notice, so I went to Cincinnati and stayed until my wife got there a couple of days later.
Tim happened into my life at a time when I needed a good influence. We had good clean fun together for years, until our last common hobby of golf was stopped first due to my back and then later by his devastating illness.
Tim was always a breath of fresh air. He knew how to have fun and was good at every sport he tried. He loved and was very proud of his entire family. He had a wonderful supportive bunch of friends and family, and I know he was humbled by how much he was loved and cared for, as he told me what all you guys did for him and how much he appreciated you.
I will always remember Tim as a great athlete. And he was true to his beliefs, never once giving in to peer pressure to partake in any of the evil that was out there tempting all of us. He was the best that he could be.
I'm thankful to have known Tim and know that I am better for it. While it's hard to understand why he had to suffer so much and leave us so soon, it would be harder to imagine our lives without him in it at all.

Lisa: We are so sorry about your loss of Tim. We know you made a difference in his life, in the way you cared for him these last several years. Wish we could be there to give you a hug. As you know, we now live in NC, closer to our kids - really close to Shawn. Much love to you and your family. Joy

Dear Alford Family,
I was so sorry to hear the news about Tim. My Milton family and I shared some memories of him from high school - a top drawer athlete and an all around nice guy. Good things. Our thoughts are with you today.
Sincerely,
Jamie Keefer Greenfield

Please accept my condolences for this tremendous loss. I never knew Tim well even though we grew up in the same neighborhood, but I do know that he was a good man who was well loved. Rest in Peace, Tim.

Tim graduated a year ahead of me at Milton High School. I remember him well from junior high through high school. My deepest sympathy goes out to his wife and children and all of those that were close to him during this time of sorrow. May he find peace in the loving arms of his savior.
