I am so sad to hear of John's passing, and you all have my deepest of sympathy. I will miss talking to John as he walked with his dog around our block and he was glad to help a neighbor any way he could. He was a true neighbor.

Hunting season will never be the same. For the past few years I have been fortunate to hunt along side one of the nicest guys I've ever met. I talked with him for just about ten minutes the first time I ever met him to discover we had something in common. We have both flown in the back of C-130's as a Loadmaster. We never had a quiet moment together after that. This past November we both killed a buck on opening day and I remember sitting in that barn with him and talking for a few hours. He had some of the best stories. He was the type of guy that would give the shirt off his back to a stranger. He was what all of us should strive to be........a good man. He will be missed.
