Dennis C. ReynoldsDennis C. Reynolds, age 78 of Bass Lake, Gowen, died early Sunday, June 22, 2014 in Greenville. He was born June 20, 1936, the son of Chester and Ruth Reynolds. Dennis proudly served his family in the United States Marine Corps, and was a life member of the Ray I. Booth American Legion Post 101 in Greenville. He was also a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose #1939. Dennis worked hard and played hard, and will be deeply missed, especially by his children, Melvin (Candy) Reynolds of Greenville, Fredrick (Gayle) Reynolds of Elkton, Bradley (Doreen) Reynolds of Gowen, Linda Sly of Greenville, and Edward (Shelly) Reynolds of Greenville; grandchildren, Natalie (Julien) Chipot, Erin (Craig) Genow, Melanie Reynolds, Christian Petersen, Kathryn Hoople, Kristina Hoople, Jessica (David) Duca, Samantha Sly, Nicole Sly, Amanda Reynolds, Tyler Reynolds, and Stephanie Reynolds; several great-grandchildren; sister, Jean Johnston; and brothers-in-law and sister-in-law, Leroy Addis, Margaret (Carroll) Butterworth, and Jack Perry. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Shirley May (Perry) Reynolds; sister, Ann Addis; and sisters-in-law, Doris Ruthruff and Ruth Perry. A time of visitation will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 PM Wednesday, June 25 at Hurst Funeral Home. A memorial celebration will begin at 1:00 PM Friday, June 27 at the Greenville Moose Lodge #1939, with military honors rendered under the auspices of the Ray I. Booth American Legion Post 101. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Moose Lodge.
