Funeral services for Elmo Cravey, 74, of Dam B, will be 2:00 pm, Thursday, June 26, 2014 at Farmer Funeral Home with interment following in Franks Branch Cemetery in Fred. Visitation will begin at 3:00 pm Wednesday at the funeral home.
Mr. Cravey died June 22, 2014 at his residence.
A native of Hardin County, Elmo lived most his life in this area and in Dam B since 1989. He was a retired truck driver and a member of Caney Head Assembly of God.
Elmo was preceded in death by his parents, Carson and Emily Ard Cravey, son Franklin Earl Cravey, brothers Sy Baby Cravey, Jimmy Earl Cravey and Perry Cravy and sister Geraldine Bertrand.
Left to cherish his memories are his wife of 55 years, Verline Gore Cravey of Dam B; son Jerry Wayne Cravey Sr and wife Veda of Fred; daughters Debbie Elaine Cabelo and husband Joel of Montgomery and Dianna Chapman and husband Jake of Spurger; brother Derwood Bill Cravy and wife Bonnie of Zavalla; sisters Inez Watts of Town Bluff, Bernice Reeves and husband Jimmy of Evadale, Aline Dykes of Evadale and Annette Hoke and husband Eddie of Evadale and grandchildren, Joni and Jody Rodgers, Brandi Anderson, Elmo B Cravey, Nicole Cravey, Lyndsey Lognion, NaKona Cravey, Jerry Cravey Jr, Cookie Cravey, Abigale Cravey, Shayla Reese, Travis Bryce Chapman and Lacey Chapman.
