Hazel J. Herb, 103, of Proctorville, Ohio passed away Tuesday, July 1, 2014 at home. She was born June 14, 1911 in West Hamlin, WV daughter of the late Everett E. and Nettie Yeager Adkins. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Victor C. Herb; three sisters Elva Sullivan, Ida Adkins and Mauna Adkins; and two brothers Esmond Adkins and Freeland Adkins. She is survived by one daughter Ruth Frey of Pittsburgh, PA; two sons Gary (Joanne) Herb of Valencia, PA and Victor Charles Herb, III of Cleveland, Ohio; six grandchildren Courtney (Sue) Frey, Sheri (Jack) Schweiger, Wanda (Jeff) Blackwell, Barry (Cheryl) Frey, Carrie Herb and Christine Herb; and six great grandchildren. She was a member of Lucinda Baptist Church. Funeral service will be conducted 11 a.m. Saturday, July 5, 2014 at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, Ohio by Rev. Eddie Salmons. Entombment will follow in Woodmere Memorial Park, Huntington, WV. Visitation will be held 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, July 4, 2014 at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, Ohio.
