I'm so sorry to hear about Leonard. I now live in GA close to Jennifer & Grandkids. I don't get the Silsbee Bee but found out from a letter from Dale Ann. Again my warm & sincere condolences.

Bev - I feel like we've lost one of our own family members. Leonard was always so thoughtful bringing his watermelons from his garden to share with us. He always delivered them with a smile on his face. I loved hearing you two talk - your relationship was one of a kind - strong and loving. It's raining today and I'm sure they are tears from heaven because he misses you so. We are thinking about you and love you so very much. Please call if you need anything. Coach Barnett was such a great man and friend to all who met him. When I would see him out and about, he had a big hug and smile to go with it. He touched a lot of lives with his kind and caring heart. I will keep the family in my prayers for the days and months ahead.

Funeral services for Leonard Ernest Barnett, 78, of Silsbee will be 10:00 am Saturday, July 19, 2014 at Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee with interment following in Knupple Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 5:00 pm Friday at the funeral home.
