Funeral services for Peggy S. Holmes 87, of Kountze will be 2:00 pm Saturday July 26, 2014 at Victory Temple in Beaumont with interment following at Antioch Cemetery in Buna under the direction of Farmer Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm Friday at the funeral home and 12:00 pm until 2:00 Saturday at the church.
Mrs Holmes passed away July 17, 2014 at Jefferson Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Peggy was a native of Voth, TX and a longtime resident of Kountze.
Mrs Homes was preceded in death by her parents Frank and Alice Leatherwood Swearingen; son Floyd Alan Treadway; brothers Beau Swearingen, William Keith Swearingen, and Frank Melvin Swearingen; and a sister Evelyn Smith.
Survivors include son Keith Edward Smith and wife Tabitha of North Richland Hills, TX; daughters Dorothy May Goodman and husband Ricky of Lumberton, Jennifer Kay Woosley and husband David of Beaumont, and Karen Griffin and husband William of Kountze; brother Joel P. Swearingen of Lumberton; twenty-one grandchildren and numerous great and great grandchildren.

I miss you more than words can say granny but I know your celebrating a new life with our lord and our relatives whom have past, I am so glad God picked you to be my grandmother and I wish I had more time with you my heart breaks over losing you but am glad you are rejoicing looking down on me and in no more sickness or pain. You will be forever in our hearts zayden, Jared, and I all love you and will miss you very much! We will never forget you or your love!

I will always hold grandma in the one part in my heart that she has always held ,, I will miss the letters and her calling me Nettie ,, I love You Mamaw , and I Love all of you (my Texas Family ) you all are in my prayers and may God help us all to heal from the pain we feel from our loss of a wonderful person
