Nina Adkins, 33, of Huntington, WV, passed away July 22, 2014 at St. Mary's Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, July 26, 2014 at the Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville. Burial will be in Eaves Cemetery, Branchland. She was born December 7, 1980 in Cabell County, a daughter of Billy Joe Adkins and the late Kathy Walker Adkins. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Joe and Alma Walker, paternal grandparents, Virgil and Effie Adkins, and her twin sister, Lena Adkins. In addition to her father, she is survived by her son, Russell Kent Adkins; two brothers, Don Kingery and Michael Joe Adkins; very special "second" parents, Denise Beheler and Greg "Poppy" Hensley; Aunt Granny, Mildred Beheler and Uncle Pa Pal, Gary Beheler; sister Brandy Cornell; and a host of other family and friends. I am truly grateful to have worked with Nina for the last year. I am still in shock over this sudden loss of a friend but who am I to question Gods will?

I'm so sorry for your loss. I worked with Nina at pinecrest. We worked different shifts so we didn't get to know each other well but I did consider her a friend. My thoughts and prayers are with the family.

I will always miss and love u Nina. My heart goes out to your dad,son,and brother. And I will always remember u running the 3 wheeler into the building at dads. We used to have some awesome days when our family used to always be together.

I have many many memories with Nina at Mamaws outside playing. My heart is heavy and saddened with the loss of her. We had many fun times together.
