Mary Elizabeth Shriber age 83 of Greenville passed away Friday July 25, 2014 at her home near Greenville. She was born January 21, 1931 in Grand Rapids the daughter of Clarence O. and Alta L.(Vincent) Bean. Mary was retired from the former Belding Products Co. She was a devoted mother and grandmother who loved to garden and feed the birds, tend her flowers and play cards, but she especially loved and cherished her family. She babysat with each grandchild and was proud to let everyone know that how much she loved family.
She was preceded in death by her husband Robert J. Shriber, her son Paul Tschritter, her brother Earl and sisters, Janice and Theoda Teddy Rarick.
She is survived by her children; Douglas K. (Bobbi) Bittenbender, Dale (Pam) Gender,
Debbie Segard, Pam Bean, Tina (Jerry) Eickenroth, daughter-in-law, Patty Tschritter, grandchildren; Jennifer (Casey) Van Os, Heather (Scott) Earles, Lacy Bittenbender, Lindsey Gender, Carley Gender, Jessica Pearce, Matthew (Rachel) Pearce, Cody Eickenroth, Tina Eickenroth, Brady (Tessa Parfiewich) Segard, Katie (Jeremy) Johnson, Benjamin (Lauren) Mast, Kate Mast,Orville ( Autumn) Bean, Ethan Bean , Seth (Ashley) Bean, many great grandchildren, sisters Charlotte Ballema, Claudette (Ray) Griffes, brothers, Clarence Bean Jr., John (Jill) Bean and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Monday at 4 PM from Hurst Funeral Home with her brother-in-law Ray Griffes officiating. Visitation will be from 2- 4 PM on Monday.
Burial will be held at Rest Haven Memory Gardens at a later date. Memorial contributions may be given to the American Cancer Society or Spectrum Health Hospice.
