Lucille Gollihue Dingess, 90, of Willow Wood, Ohio passed away Sunday, August 17, 2014 at Mayfair Village Nursing Care Center, Columbus, Ohio. She was born July 26, 1924 in Bellstrace, KY daughter of the late William Ellis and Minnie Mae Green Gollihue. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Vern Dingess; her brother William Ellis Gollihue, Jr; and her sister Helen (Mello) Fortuna. She attended Old Baptist Church and was an avid gardener and lover of nature. She is survived by her sister Phyllis (R.V.) Whitt of Franklin Furnace, Ohio; two nieces Janet (Clifford) Spurlock and Josephine (Rodney) Reed; one nephew Tony Fortuna; and loving sister-in-law Molly Mae (Aaron) Browning of Chapmanville, WV. Her family would like to recognize and thank Lucilles steadfast neighbors, Robert and Linda Higgins, who loved and treated her like family these last 29 years, and her many other caring neighbors in Willow Wood. A private graveside funeral service will be conducted at Haverhill Cemetery, Franklin Furnace, Ohio. Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, Ohio is in charge of arrangements.
