Martin was Lead Scientist and consultant for Signal Solutions LLC, bridging technical development with behavioral and biological information. Additionally, he was Domain Expert for The Jackson Laboratory in Bar Harbor, Maine, within the Knock-Out Mouse Phenotyping 2 (KOMP2) project, where he played a key role in getting interest from the entire International Mouse Phenotyping Consortium. Martin is survived by his parents, his sister, Susan Striz Baisden, his brother-in-law, Joshua Baisden, and his niece, Julianna Baisden. Martin will be deeply missed by his family, his friends, and the scientific community. Visitation will be held at Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel in Barboursville on Saturday, August 23, 2014, at 11 a.m. with funeral services following at 12 p.m. noon. Martin was a great man who was undoubtably one of the most intelligent and kind hearted men I have ever known. I remember when we used to play as kids and we would have such a great time together. I remember those fun times when we would compete in ping pong tournaments, play basketball in the driveway, and swim in the pool. I miss those days. I pray that Martin may now rest in peace. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.
