Carroll Joyce Hayes Wright, 78, of Scottown, Ohio passed away Thursday, August 21, 2014 at The Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House, Huntington, WV. Joyce was born on her dads birthday June 30, 1936, daughter of the late Carroll and Elizabeth Wilks Hayes. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters Rosemary Freeman and Rita Heinz; and one brother T. Michael Hayes. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Lee Wright; nephews Terry (Ruby) Freeman and Jason (Jennifer) Heinz; great nieces Alyssa Rose Freeman and Jenna Elizabeth Heinz; great nephew Jordan D. Heinz; sister-in-law Judith Hayes; brother-in-law Robert Heinz; and best neighbors James and Debbie Hayes. Joyce was a 1954 graduate of Windsor High School. She was a retiree of Marshall University with 31 years of service and a member Mount Hope Missionary Baptist Church. Funeral service will be conducted 1 p.m. Monday, August 25, 2014 at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, Ohio by Pastor Mark Roach. Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Gardens, South Point, Ohio. Visitation will be held 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday, August 25, 2014 at the funeral home.
