 Funeral services for Oscar Frank Spell, III, 65, of Silsbee will be 2:00 pm Thursday August 28, 2014 at Farmer Funeral Home with interment following at R. S. Farmer Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm Wednesday at the funeral home.
Mr. Spell passed away August 23, 2014 at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont.
A native of Beaumont and a resident of Silsbee, Oscar was a pipefitter with Local 195.
Mr. Spell is preceded in death by his loving wife Rita Jean Spell; parents Oscar Frank Spell Jr. and Jean Mazzola Spell.
Survivors include sons Michael Wayne Taylor of Silsbee and Oscar Frank Spell IV of Colorado; daughter Melissa Kelly Colgate of Colorado; brother David Spell of Beaumont; sister Geralyn Droptini of Euless; grandchildren Madelyn, Samantha, Chad, Emily and Grace and great grandchildren Brayden and Brynlee.

Mike, Frankie and Lisa.....We pray for the loss of your Dad and all the good memories you will carry for the rest of your life of a wonderful Man you called "Dad" who loved each one of you more than life itself. His spirit has already left his body and is joined in Heaven with your Mom. They are looking down at y'all and your family and friends and are smiling down waiting until y'all reunite in Heaven to be together again. He was so proud of all of you. That's all he talked about besides all his grandkids and the rest of his family and friends. We loved him and I thank God that he put him and y'all in my Life. My life will always be better for that. I will NEVER forget your Dad because he is UNFORGETTABLE !!! It's so sad that he is gone but I praise God that he is no longer in pain. I believe God does not want us to suffer. We will miss him but will never forget the loving, wonderful, God fearing Man he was and all the wisdom he gave me throughout the years. God Bless you Mike, Frankie and Lisa and all who loved him. Spell Family,
Our deepest, heartfelt sympathies go out to you today. Your Dad held a very special spot in our hearts. I can empathize with you for your loss, but cannot feel the depth of what you all are feeling. Honor Dad for the great man, husband, friend and father that he was.
