Debbie Sue Van Putten, age 55 of Sidney, died Monday morning, August 25, 2014 at the Laurels of Carson City. She was born March 25, 1959 in Greenville, the daughter of Harold and Charlene (Frisbie) Strecker. Debbie was a hard worker and a wonderful cook, and was employed as a baker or cook in several area restaurants. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, and will be deeply missed, especially by her husband, Richard of Sidney; daughters, Erica (Andy) Goodell of Stanton and Kelly Sammon of Lansing; parents, Harold and Charlene Strecker of Stanton; grandchildren, Avory, Jack, Justice, Zaviour, and Morgan and Kolbe and R.J.; brothers, Ernie Strecker and Greg (Kathy) Strecker, all of Cedar Springs; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Diane (Dave) Fleiger, Donna (Gary) Parcher, and Jack (Judy) Van Putten; and nieces, Tara (Josh) Trussel and Amy Strecker. A memorial celebration will be held from 1:00 to 3:00 PM Wednesday, September 3, 2014 at Greenville Community Church (6596 Vining Rd., Greenville). Memorial contributions may be made to the family for her grandchildren's educations.
