I am so shocked and heartbroken. I didn't know anything as I live in Maryland. Jeff was a huge part of my life. We met in 1974 & were in love but couldn't work the distance out. I called him around his birthday in 2014 & it was the day of your Mother's funeral. So he called me a few days later. We talked a long time. I hadn't heard from him so I finally called him at the phone number he had forever. A recording came on saying it was out of service. I had a bad feeling & googled his name and found out. I can hardly type this through my tears. I am so sorry I wasn't there for him. I would have been if he had called. I am so sorry for your family. My very sincerest condolences. Please contact me at the email listed above if you can. If not, I understand. I am so very sorry, deeply saddened and heartbroken. I will miss him forever.

I worked with Jeff at Gibson's. He always had a smile. He would joke with you and he would take your picking on him right back. He would go and have a few drinks with us after work. He never ever made you feel intimidated knowing he was your boss. I never knew he was sick. God has another wonderful Angel and he will be missed.

Jeff was a foreman under the supervision of my dad, Art Ritter, while at Gibson's and I worked with Jeff years later. We had just seen him on Saturday coming down the street in a wheelchair and we mailed him a card. Our sympathy to your family.
