Phyllis Jean Gilkison, 80, of Proctorville died Friday, August 29, 2014. She was born June 24, 1934 in Huntington, the daughter of the late Kirby and Bernice Ward. She is survived by her four children, Greg (Jane) Gilkison of Proctorville, Debbie (Al) Linkowski, Sandy Morgan, and Mike (Rosalind) Gilkison all of Chicago; her beloved grandchildren Michael, Alyssa, Erin, and Amanda of Chicago and Jeff and Brad of Proctorville; sisters Barbara Alltop, Fran Christian, and Donna Stewart of South Point, and Ann Olsen of Virginia; and brothers David Ward of Proctorville, Thomas Ward of South Point and Bill Ward of Chesapeake. Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, September 2, 2014 at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, Ohio by Pastor Jay Love. I would like to say how proud I am to have had Aunt Phyllis as my Aunt. I have so many wonderful memories of my childhood spending time with her! I Love her! I know for sure she is Happy being home with Mamaw And Papaw!! I have always been able to feel her love for me. I am blessed knowing she will be watching over me! I can hear her laugh and calling mamaw Mother! I love You Aunt Phyllis Rest in Peace now you are home!
