1921 - 2014
Myrtis Skinner was born on November 24, 1921 to Ernest L. Skinner and Bertie Loving Skinner. He passed away September 1, 2014 at the age of 92.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Cecil, Otto, and Leon and sister Gladys.
Survivors include his daughter Sherry Thomas; sons Ralph Skinner and Ricky Skinner; step-son Dewayne Anderson; his grandchildren, Leah Thomas, David Thomas and William Tyson and step-granddaughters, LeEllen (Sissy) Roberts and Amanda Lowe.
Mr. Skinner served in combat during World War II in the crew of a B24 bomber and worked many years for Chicago Bridge & Iron, retiring as an x-ray technician. He was a 67 year member of the Broaddus and Silsbee Masonic Lodges.
A memorial service will be held at Farmer Funeral Home at 1:00 pm, Thursday September 4, 2014 with a private burial.
