Funeral services for Eugene Gene Arnold Reeves, 70, of Ore City and formerly of Silsbee, will be 10:00 am, Thursday, September 4, 2014 at Farmer Funeral Home with interment following in Cunningham Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 5:00 pm Wednesday at the funeral home.
Mr. Reeves passed away September 2, 2014 in Ore City, surrounded by his loving family.
Gene was born July 27, 1944 in Silsbee. He was a lifelong truck driver in the East Texas area, mostly hauling pulpwood until he retired.
Mr. Reeves is preceded in death by his parents and first wife Lettie Mae Reeves.
Survivors include his wife Ann, sons Calvin Reeves and wife Sherry of Joaquin, Tony Reeves and wife Kayla of Ore City, Michael Reeves and wife Sandy of Ore City, and Kenny Reeves and wife Kristy of Harmony; daughter Darla Lawson and husband Bo of Lake Marvaul, TX and step-son Derrick Rash. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren; six great grandchildren; brothers Preston Mckee and Glenn Reeves; sister Oma Fore and special life long friend Fay Dean Ard.
