1949 - 2014
 Barbara Ann Havens age 65 of Greenville, passed away Sunday September 7, 2014 at her home under the loving care of her family and Faith Hospice. She was born in Grand Rapids MI on March 6,1949 the daughter of Maurice E. and Lois K. (Tonning) Harig. Barb attended Catholic Central and was a graduate of Mt. Mercy Academy in Grand Rapids. She was always accumulating credits in courses of higher learning at then the Grand Rapids Junior College, Michigan State University, Grand Valley State University and Montcalm Community College. She was a member of St. Charles Catholic Church in Greenville and the ladies auxiliary, a volunteer at St. Charles School, member of the Thalia Club, soccer mom devotee, and a doll maker extraordinaire.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her grandson Timothy Havens
She married Alan C. Havens DDS on December 1, 1978 at Mt. Mercy Chapel in Grand Rapids and together they raised their sons, Andrew and Jonathon.
She is survived by her husband Alan and family, Andrew and Jessica Havens of Greenville and Jonathon Havens of Spring Lake, granddaughters, Mikayla and Kaitlyn, her sisters and brothers; Lea (Tom) Ebels of Jenison, Janice (Doug) Clum of Racine, Wisconsin, Troy (Mary) Harig of Spring Lake, Mary Harig of Kentwood, Sara Bittenbender of East Elgin, IL and Marty Harig of Edmore, her uncle Robert (Jan) Harig of Charlevoix, her husband's family, Brent (Sue) Havens of Baldwin and Cheryl (Mike) Slaktoski of Belding and nieces and nephews.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the Cathedral of St. Andrew's Grand Rapids on Friday September 12 at 10 AM with the Rev.Father Michael Cillibraise serving as celebrant. Private burial will be in Forest Home Cemetery, Greenville. A visitation will be held at Hurst Funeral Home on Thursday from 5 to 8 PM with a rosary prayed at 7:30 PM.
