James Roland Fuqua
Funeral services for James Roland Fuqua, 84, of Silsbee will be 12 Noon, Thursday, September 11, 2014 at Farmer Funeral Home with interment following in Knupple Cemetery... Visitation will be from 10 am until time of service Thursday at the funeral home.
Mr. Fuqua passed away September 8, 2014 at his residence.
Born in Livingston, James was a longtime resident of this area. He worked as a truck driver for Kirby Lumber Co. and worked as an iron worker out of Local 125 before retiring. Mr. Fuqua proudly served his country in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of Central Baptist Church in Evadale.
Mr. Fuqua was preceded in death by his parents, James Claude and Alice Loftin Fuqua; his loving wife of 33 years, Louise Turner Fuqua and sister Wynona Carter.
Survivors include son Ricky Fuqua and wife Linda of Willis; daughters Belinda Humphrey and husband Dennis of Silsbee and Kathy Wills and husband Anthony of Evadale; brothers Doug Fuqua of Baytown and Ray Fuqua and wife Varnelle of Colmesneil; sister Joyce Courville of Bacliff; grandchildren Ariel Wills, Mark Wills, Kelly Jo Fuqua and Brandon Fuqua, Terry Nash, and Kim Combs. He is also survived by great grandchildren, Katarina, Maggie, Irie and Lexi Kay Coppertop and a host of friends.
