Helen Kates Click for Condolences      Printable Version 1924 - 2014 Helen Kates, 90, of Chesapeake, Ohio went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday September 17, 2014 at home. She was born July 2, 1924 in Huntington, WV daughter of the late Thomas and Pearl Wyant. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Nelson Kates; two brothers Eugene Wyant and Bill Wyant; and two sisters Eileen Jarrell and Eva Callicoat. She is survived by one son Terry (Gina) Kates of Proctorville, Ohio; two daughters Pam (Roger) Perkins of South Point, Ohio and Debbie (Mike) Adkins of Chesapeake, Ohio; seven grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; and one brother Herbert Wyant of Holbrook, AZ. She was a member of Jefferson Avenue Church of God. Graveside service will be conducted 1 p.m. Saturday, September 20, 2014 at Rome Cemetery, Proctorville, Ohio by Pastor Greg Tomlinson and Rev. Dave Callicoat. There will be no visitation. Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, Ohio is in charge of arrangements.
