Geraldine Marie Bonsall age 92 Sheridan, formerly Bushnell Township, died Thursday September 18, 2014 at Spectrum Health Continuing Care in Grand Rapids. She was born March 8, 1922 in Fork Township, Mecosta County, Michigan to Manuel and Jennie (Cook) Nelson. She married Jack Bonsall on April 13, 1940 and moved to the family farm. He preceded her in death on July 17, 1987.
She was a member of Fenwick United Methodist church and enjoyed cooking and spending time with family.
She is survived by two daughters, Cheryl (Rev. Ted Bailey) of Kentwood and Johnie (Rev. Mark) Johnson of Bath; grandchildren, Jennifer (Ron) Neumann, Shawn (Mandy) Ingersoll, Nicole Ingersoll, Rebekah (Alex) Schut and Patrick Johnson, great-grandchildren, Allysen, Alexa and Aubree Neumann, Ashton and Macy Ingersoll , Austin and Michael Ingersoll, Maverick Schut, several nieces and nephews. Also preceding her in death were her parents, 5 brothers, Gerald, Stanley, Roy, Rutherford and Manuel, 3 sisters, Doris, Eleanor and Velma.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday October 18,2014 at 11 AM from Hurst Funeral Home with Pastor Gerald Erskin of Fenwick United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Sunny Hill Cemetery Fenwick.
Memorial contributions may be given to Fenwick United Methodist Church.
