Howell Thomas WilliamsOur beloved Howell Thomas Williams, known by friends and family as Tom, age 71, of Proctorville, Ohio, went to live with our precious, heavenly Father on Friday, September 26, 2014 at St. Marys Medical Center, Huntington, WV. Tom was born January 2, 1943 in Taplin, WV, a son of the late Shelby Thomas and Dorothy Elizabeth Williams. He celebrated 50 years of marriage with his beautiful wife, Barbara Kay Graham Williams. He retired as a self-employed, long-haul, truck driver and was a member of Union United Brethern Church in Proctorville, OH. Tom was a 32nd degree Scottish Rite Mason and was a member of Proctorville Masonic Lodge #550 F & AM. He enjoyed working in his garden, hunting, fishing, camping and the great outdoors. He also loved canning and freezing his vegetables from his garden and cooking his specialties including chicken and dumplings, biscuits and gravy, homemade fudge and ice cream. Throughout his life, Tom has been very active in his church serving as Deacon and Sunday School Teacher. He was a devoted husband to his wife Barbara, loved his children Michele Lusk of Cincinnati, OH, Leigh Pulse (Jason) of Fuquay-Varina, NC, his four grandchildren Erin, Drew, Ali Lusk, and Kinley Pulse, as well as his great-grandson Amire Corpening-Lusk. He also loved and cherished his sister Sally Cline (Bill) of Davin, WV, two brothers: Fred Williams (Gloria) of Mallory, WV, James Williams (Sharlene) of Man, WV, and many nieces, nephews, and cherished friends. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to American Heart Association. Funeral service will be conducted 11 a.m. Monday September 29, 2014 at Hall Funeral Home by Rev. Glen Carmon. Burial will follow in Rome Cemetery, Proctorville, Ohio. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday September 28, 2014 at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, Ohio and one hour before the service on Monday. A Masonic service will be held on Sunday at 6:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.timeformemory.com/hall.
