Sandra Lee Carroll Click for Condolences      Printable Version
1951 - 2014

Sandra Lee CarrollSandra Lee Carroll, 63, of Proctorville, Ohio, journeyed to her Heavenly home on Sunday, September 28, 2014 at The Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House, Huntington, WV. Her unwavering faith in God and Jesus Christ, and the love of family and friends supported Sandra during her two-year illness. Sandra was born on February 25, 1951 in Huntington, WV daughter of Rosemary Knight of Huntington, WV and the late Billy Vaughn Knight. Sandra is survived by her siblings Rebecca Cazad, Troy Knight and Billy Knight all of Huntington, WV; and nieces and nephews April Knight, Misty Knight, Heather Cazad, Travis Knight, Ashley Knight, Ashton Knight, Allison Hoier and Andrea Bourque. The eldest of four children, Sandra, or Sandy, as her friends called her, was known as a people person. A talented business woman, Sandy established the tri-state area franchise of Safeguard Business Systems over the past twenty-two years, and passed the legacy of Christian business ethics to her son, Gabe. She was a member of River Cities Community Church, Huntington, WV. She also served as coordinating Council member and bicentennial campaign committee at Ohio University Southern. Sandy served as vice president of the Lawrence County Chamber of Commerce. She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Mike and together they raised two sons Michael Ryan (Hilary) Carroll of Wooster, Ohio and Gabriel Lee (Tiffany) Carroll of Huntington, WV; beloved grandchildren Sterling Carroll, Stephen Carroll and Sullivan Carroll of Huntington, WV, and Samuel Carroll, Nora Carroll and Jillian Carroll of Wooster, Ohio. Sandy exhibited a true love of Christ through her work in the community. She preferred to illustrate her faith by example, spending time serving lunches, hosting bible studies and donating her time and talent to people in need. The family will receive friends 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Thursday, October 2, 2014 at River Cities Community Church, Huntington, WV with a service to follow at 6:30 p.m. with Pastor Larry Greene officiating. There will be a dinner for everyone immediately following the service at the Church. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to River Cities Community Church Building Fund or Hospice of Huntington. Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, Ohio is in charge of arrangements. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.timeformemory.com/hall.

Dear Mike and family, Susan and I are so sorry for your loss. We thought so much of Sandy. We really enjoyed the times you came to Louisville and we could get together and I always looked for you all at the Safeguard meetings. Those were always good times. We are thinking of you and the family.

Sandy was a beautiful person who put up with alot from me in trying to sell business supplies to me. She had a "secret weapon" that made me an instant long term client. That was the dog that came to work with her each day. I am sorry I can not attend her service and show my respect but I have a previous scheduled engagement in Raliegh, NC that can't be cancelled. We also served together on the Ohio University Co-ordinating council. She will be greatly missed.

Mike and Family, What a shock when I saw the news. I did not know that Sandy was sick. I'll never forget the first time I saw you and Sandy together at the Lawrence Co fair. I thought what a pair, but you all were a great pair. You and Sandy were made for each other. I am so sorry for your loss and wish you nothing but the best and lots of love and prayers. Do not hesitate to call if I can help with any thing. Daisy
