Ruby Josephine Vaughn, 96, of South Point, Ohio passed away Friday, October 10, 2014 at Heartland of Riverview, South Point, Ohio. She was born October 6, 1918 in West Hamlin, WV daughter of the late William and Goldie Holderby Duty. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Charles Buck Vaughn; one son Jerry E. Vaughn; one daughter Sandra Lewis; two sisters Gladys M. Crabtree and Ida Mae Snyder; and one brother James Duty. She is survived by one daughter-in-law Della Vaughn of South Point, Ohio; one son-in-law Larry Lewis of Huntington, WV; six grandchildren Kassandra Gray (Terry), Barry Lewis (Leah), Karen Hutchison (Fred), Rebecca Marston (Daniel), Ryan Vaughn (Julie) and Angela Vaughn; 17 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; and special friends Larry and Peggy Lawrence. Funeral service will be conducted 1 p.m. Tuesday, October 14, 2014 at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, Ohio by Pastor Keith Watters. Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Gardens, South Point, Ohio. Visitation will be held 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, October 14, 2014 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Hospice House of Huntington. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.timeformemory.com/hall.

Debbie and I loved Aunt Ruby Jo and have many wonderful memories of her, Uncle Buck and their grand children on their many visits with us.
We know that she is in heaven with all her family that has gone before her.
We send condolences to all her friends and family that are saddened by her passing.

Ruby was more of a sister than a sister-in-law as I grew up. She accepted and loved my family as her own.
She was a beautiful Christian women who held strong in her belief. We know she is with her heavenly father and we
all will miss her dearly.
