1942 - 2014
Wanda Gail Bradley, 72, of Columbus, Ohio, formerly of Proctorville, Ohio, was freed from a long and painful battle with non-alcoholic cirrhosis on Saturday October 11, 2014 while under the care of the National Church Residences Hospice. Gail was born June 10, 1942 in Huntington, West Virginia. Her parents, Clark E. and Catherine E. Bradley and older sister Marjorie E. Bradley preceded her in death. A half-brother, Everett Bradley lives in Proctorville, Ohio. Gail worked as a unit clerk in ER for Cabell Huntington Hospital before moving to the Columbus area where she worked for ten years at Mount Carmel East Hospital. After retirement she enjoyed reading and the company of her faithful dog Cassie. For many years Gail resided with her Uncle Jay and Aunt Pauline Skaggs whom she adopted as father and mother. Some of her fondest memories were of their shared cross-country vacations. An active family member of the Reynoldsburg Church of Christ, Gail always looked forward to participating in the Thursday morning ladies Bible study and the Community of Care. Gails legacy of gentle humor, an uncomplaining spirit, and a cheerful heart will continue to encourage all whose lives she touched. Her church family let love, prayer, and compassion guide each decision that affected her well-being. Gail would want us to express her gratitude to the National Church Residencies Hospice and Mount Carmel East Hospital for the wonderful care she received. Gail is survived by many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins who mourn the loss of this beloved family member. Gail loved the Lord and her earthly family. Our earthly loss Heavens joy. Arrangements have been entrusted to Hall Funeral Home and Crematory in Proctorville, OH. Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, October 15, 2014 at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery 1851-2249 Pleasant Ridge Road, Proctorville, OH. There will be no visitation. In lieu of flowers donations may be given in Gails memory to the Reynoldsburg Church of Christ Community of Care, 1649 Graham Road, Reynoldsburg, OH 43068. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.timeformemory.com/hall.
