Michael Shannon Blake Click for Condolences      Printable Version 1970 - 2014 Michael Shannon Blake, 44, of Chesapeake, Ohio passed away Thursday October 23, 2014 at home. He was born October 17, 1970 in Huntington, WV. He was preceded in death by his step-father David Austin. He is survived by his wife Michelle Kaplan Blake; one son Little Keith; mother Edith Ann Austin of Chesapeake, Ohio; father Tom (Debbie) Blake of Phoenix, AZ; grandmother Ruth Martin of Crown City, Ohio; two sisters Robin and Geron Walters of Arizona and four sons, Sherri (Sherman) Potter of Gallipolis, Ohio and four sons; one brother Keith (Cindy) Blake of Chesapeake, Ohio and their two daughters Jessica Medley and her two children and Magen Blake; and mother and father-in-law Michael and Barbara Kaplan of Naples, FL. He was a U.S. Army Veteran and a Masonic mason. Funeral service will be conducted 2 p.m. Monday, October 27, 2014 at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, Ohio by Pastor Ronnie Tyree. Visitation will be held 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Monday, October 27, 2014 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the family for Little Keiths Education Fund. Tom and family it was good to see you ,but i wish it could have been under better circumstances,rhonda and i were sadden by the news of your sons passing,you and your family will be in our hearts and prayers.

I am so, so sorry for your family's loss. I will be praying for your family and especially Keith. Mike was always so nice and kind to me when I saw him at school or out in the community. I know you all are heart broken.
