Barb, we are so saddened by Michael's death. The love that Michael gave you did not leave with him, the essence of his soul still lingers! It won't escape from your heart, it will be there forever! I am so sorry to hear of Mike's death. Mike was one of the sweetest, kindest and most thoughtful people I had ever known. Having not seeing him for 30 years or so, I have often thought of him and his wife fondly. I offer my deepest condolences to you, Barbara and all those who loved Michael. God bless.

Michael S. Harmon, 59, of Athalia, Ohio died Friday October 24, 2014 at Cabell Huntington Hospital, Huntington, WV. He was born October 12, 1955 in Norton, VA, and was adopted son of the late William M. and Maxine V. Harmon. He is survived by his loving and caring wife Barbara Jean Burt Harmon; mother Clara K. Hickman; sister-in-law and brother-in-law Gail and Jeff Valentine; brother-in-law Steve Burt; three nephews Jon, John, and Adam; one niece Anna; and God daughter Leigh Anne Evans. He was also preceded in death by step-father Robert Hickman; brother John Hickman; step-brother Bobby Hickman; sister-in-law Sandra D. Feurt; and mother-in-law and father-in-law Bill and Darlene Burt. He was a member of Crown City Masonic Lodge #536 F & AM and a member of Forrest Glen Church. The family wishes to express a special thank you to Dr. Everette Wray, Dr. Zeid, and James and Debra Evans. A graveside service will be conducted 1 p.m. Monday October 27, 2014 at Miller Memorial Gardens Miller, Ohio by Pastor Brady Lipscomb. There will be no visitation.
