1938 - 2014
Paul Lee Akers, 76, of Proctorville, Ohio passed away Sunday, October 26, 2014 at St. Marys Medical Center, Huntington, WV. He was born April 16, 1938 in Chesapeake, Ohio son of the late Cecil and Mildred Canterbury Akers. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one brother Junior Akers; four sisters Annabell Duty, Betty Carrico, Florence Turner and Helen Faulkner. He retired from The Sheet Metal Workers Local #24 and was a member of South Point Masonic Lodge #497 F & AM. He is survived by his daughter Amy Katherine Akers; his son Paul Scott Akers and his wife Melissa all of Chesapeake, Ohio; three grandchildren Kaytlin Akers, Samuel Akers and Jillian (Aaron) Thomas;one great granddaughter Sophia; and two sisters Pauline Adkins and Doris Meyer. Memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, October 30, 2014 at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, Ohio by Pastor Jeff Black. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday, October 30, 2014 at the funeral home. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.timeformemory.com/hall.
