1958 - 2014

Randy Lynn FinleyRandy Lynn Finley Finman, 55, of Chesapeake, Ohio, doting father and grandfather, loving brother, loyal friend passed away peacefully at home, Monday, October 27, 2014. Randy was born December 29, 1958, in Huntington, West Virginia, son of the late Harold W. Finley, Sr., and Drema Dean Martin Finley. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one nephew Jason Poynter Finley and great niece, Hayden Olivia Hardin. Randy previously worked as an activator operator at Calgon Carbon Corporation and railcar inspector at ACF Industries. Randy is survived by three sons, Chris (Jessica) Thompson of Moore, OK, Justin Finley ,Trent Finley and their mother Lori Finley all of Chesapeake; grandchildren Jenna and Alex Thompson of Moore, OK, and his Sugar Cake Audrey Grace Finley of Huntington, WV. Randy is also survived by two brothers Harold W. Finley, Jr. (Beth) of Chesapeake and Mike Finley of South Point; and nieces Cari, Christen, Candice, Lauren and their families. Pops Finley, as known by many, was an avid sportsman with a great love of hunting and fishing, especially when calling in that big gobbler or reeling in an Alaskan salmon or halibut. Randy was always quick with a joke and always had a story to tell and never met a stranger. He was a die-hard Raiders fan and enjoyed his NHRA Drag Racing trips with his dearest friend, Mark. As you always inquired Who Loves You Most? We do. We love you and will miss you sorely. A memorial service will be held 7:30 p.m. Thursday, October 30, 2014 at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, Ohio by Greg Robbins. The family will receive friends 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, October 30, 2014 at the funeral home. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.timeformemory.com/hall.

Randy has been in my life since I was a small child. I can never forget the times he and Lori took Shelley and I to King's Island in the summer. He always had a smile to wear and a genuine interest in his conversations with others. My condolences to all of his family, both Hesson and Finley, as I know that he will be greatly missed. Each of you are in my prayers. Much love to you from the Drake family, Pamela and on behalf of my father, Herbert Neale Drake

Hi. I worked with randy at 7up back in the 90's and he was a great guy and we had a lot of fun there. We both got fired at the same time from that crap company. Ha. So sorry to hear this and it has saddened me greatly. Could you let me know what claimed his life because he was a weight lifter and in great shape years ago. he even sent me a very nice card to my daughter and I when my wife passed away several years ago. My phone # is 740-533-1513. thank you and I'm sad for you. M.

Words cannot express my shock & sorrow of Randy's passing. He was a friend to me for some 35 years. Our sons played sports together. We sat and yakked while their games went on, but we'd been friends before that. I and all my family thought the world of Randy and all his family, and I'm still in shock. Lori, & boys, you know you can call on the Robys for anything to help you get through this time! Phil Roby

May the pain and sorrow that we all do feel, be swept away as we begin to heal, the love of God and the peace he provides, will carry us through the rest of our lives, a time of sorrow has come to our door, like waves on the ocean washing up on the shore, we feel moved like the grains of sand, never let go of Gods loving hand, he will walk us through this valley of pain, just remember we'll see our Randy again, I've always said, and I know in my heart, "time is all that keeps us apart" Peace to all who read what I speak, my thoughts and prayers for all of Chesapeake.
