Howard R. JensenMr. Howard Robert Jensen, age 84 of Greenville, died Saturday, November 8, 2014 at Our Place Cares in Greenville. He was born May 14, 1930 in Edmore, the son of Alva and Vera (Jorgensen) Jensen. He graduated from Edmore High School, class of 1949. Howard proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. He married Collen G. Smith on September 3, 1955 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Adrian. He was a longtime member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Edmore, and, after he and Collen moved to Greenville, a member of Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church. He enjoyed traveling, camping, woodworking, and cribbage. Howard and Colleen also enjoyed winters spent in Arizona. His loving wife of 59 years, Collen survives, along with their daughters, Cynthia Peterman of Grand Rapids and Denis (Brad) Lund of Saline; granddaughter, Amber Lund of Kalamazoo; his sister, Gail Foster of Edmore; and his sister-in-law, Betty Jensen. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Serena Hockstra, Kenneth Jensen, Dale Jensen, and Geneva Bowen. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, November 11, 2014 at Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church, with visitation from 10:00 to 11:00 AM prior to the service. Howard's pastor, Rev. Jeffrey Wilhelm, will serve as officiant. Memorial contributions may be given to Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church or the Alzheimer's Association.

Our prayer & thoughts are with you at this difficult time. Didn't learn about Howard's passing until the day after the funeral.Hold on to all the wonderful memories, they will help carry you though these sad times.

So very sorry Colleen to hear of Howard's death...he will be missed in the hood! We sure share lots of AZ memories...sorry we can't be at his funeral..May God surround you with his loving arms...
