Funeral services for Floyd Elton Hooks, 88, of Point Blank and previously of Silsbee, are 10:00 am Friday, November 14, 2014 at Farmer Funeral Home with a private interment later in Hooks Cravey Cemetery.
Mr. Hooks died November 12, 2014 at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont.
A native of Silsbee, and had lived in Point Blank the past several years. He was a retired heavy equipment operator, working in construction. Mr. Hooks served in the Army Air Force during WWII.
He is preceded in death by his parents Lem and Viola Flowers Hooks; brothers Herbert Hooks and Raymond Hooks; sisters Beatrice Biskamp, Maggie Blythe, Emma Gallaspy, Faye Neal and three grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife Sally Hooks of Point Blank; Bonus children, Dennis Wheeler and wife Judy of Lumberton, Sammy Wheeler and wife Barbara of Silsbee, Susan Read and husband Jim of Kountze, Paula Granger of Kountze, Jean Watts of Kountze and JoAnn Leger of Kountze; twelve grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren and twelve great, great grandchildren.
