Allyn Jerold Reynolds age 76 of Pine Township, Stanton passed away Wednesday November 19, 2014 at home. He was born in Charlotte MI the son of Howard Allyn and Maxine Marie (Lynd) Reynolds on August 1, 1938. Allyn grew up in the Charlotte area with his family on a farm and worked on the farm all through high school and after. He became a mechanic working at the Amaco in Charlotte, Arco, and Shell gas stations and at one time owned his own service station. Drove for Merles Towing .He then was an over the road truck driver working for the Gainey Corporation and then owning his own truck and finally retiring from the Landstar Trucking Co. In retirement he delivered parts for the NAPA store of Greenville. He was a regular blood donor to the American Red Cross.
On May 11, 1991 he was married to Rena Y. Gagne Robinson and they enjoyed a happy life the past 23 years together. He had been her devoted care giver this past year in her declining health.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Robert R. Reynolds, niece, Susan E. Freeman, grandson Eric Robinson Jr. in Afghanistan serving in the US Armed Forces.
He is survived by his wife Rena, children, Debbie (Ed) Smith, Dawn (Chris) Rufener, Dee Reynolds, Harry (Janet) Robinson, Eric Robinson, Lucie Robinson, grandchildren; Max and Austin Smith, Matthew Nolette, Reghan Springsteen, Elizabeth Robinson Garry, Smantha Hersch, Sonya Hersch and Michael Robinson, 4 great grandchildren, his sister Joyce ( Bill) Freeman, nieces and nephews, Sharon (Bill) Oatman, Sylvia (Bob) Bitner, Shirley (Tim) McMillen , Howard (MaryPat) Freeman and several great nieces and nephews.
A time of visitation will be held Friday November 21, 2014 from 3 to 5 PM at Hurst Funeral Home Greenville with prayers given by Rev. Philip Van Dop. In place of memorial contributions it is suggested you consider donating blood to the American Red Cross
