Frenchie Leroy GoreFuneral services for Frenchie Leroy Gore, 68, of Buna will be 2:00 pm Sunday, November 23, 2014 at Farmer Funeral Home with interment following at Morse Cemetery in Buna. Visitation will be Saturday from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the funeral home.

Mr. Gore passed away November 19, 2014 at Baptist Hospital.

He was a native of Galveston and a longtime resident of Buna. He worked nationally and internationally as an Instrumentation Design Engineer. Mr. Gore proudly served his country in the US Navy.

Mr. Gore is preceded in death by his parents Frenchie and Verna Nethery Gore.

Survivors include his wife Dianne Gore of Buna; sons Steve Gore and wife Tina of Lobelville, Tennessee, and Jason Gore and Lyn of Buna; daughter Robin Burk and husband Johnny, Jr of Conway, Arkansas; brother Paul Gore of Silsbee; sisters Linda Daugherty, Margie Crow and Shirley Whitney all of Silsbee; grandchildren Emily and Caitlyn Gore, Sam and Lindsey Burks, Ethan Gore and Barry McCollough.

I believe I served in the Navy with Frenchie aboard the USS Tattnall DDG-19 in Charleston S.C. 1964-1967. My condolences to all the family.He was a great shipmate and friend.Iam sure he is greatly missed.We were Communications Electricans aboard the ship.

So sorry about Leroy I loved this man from the first time we met. Shared all kinds of little construction projects on facebook . I know your pain I've been there but as the hurt fades memories of the goodtimes will remain. Leroy is looking down on you and saving me a seat. God Bless and I will be praying for you.
