This incredible woman was such a blessing to her family, neighbors, and friends! We will miss her kindness, generosity, loving spirit, and delicious meals, especially her blueberry cobbler! As much as we will miss our very special sister-in-law, we find peace in knowing that she has been reunited with her loved ones in Heaven!

Kay was an inspiration in many ways, her paintings was one, her kindness to others, and her faith, and courage in the face of all the adversity she faced. Kay was truly a remarkable woman.

I grew up with Kay being like a second mother to me as I was friends with Kristen and Kathy. She was the closest and dearest friend of my mother Kay Byer and they were affectionately known as the "2Ks." Kay lived her life through faith and showed anyone who knew her how to be a better person by following her example. She was a lovely person and I was lucky to have shared my life with her.

Kay was the most inspiring woman! She was a role model for the youth and the women at Southside United Methodist church where she attended for years. She will be missed!

I met Kay when she was a "Walker" at HIMG (as I am, also). I admired her courage in fighting her cancers. She has wonderful paintings hanging on the walls at HIMG. She is probably painting with the angels right now. May God bless.

Kay was so right; 'the cancer did not win!' We all won by having Kay in our lives through the years. She was an angel here on earth. Thank you Kathy and Kristen for sharing on Facebook news and updates on Kay over the past few years.
