Mildred Alice 'Mutt' Broussard Click for Condolences      Printable Version 1924 - 2014 Funeral services for Mildred Alice Mutt Broussard, 90, of Silsbee will be 10:00 am Tuesday, December 2, 2014 at Farmer Funeral Home with interment following in Old Hardin Cemetery in Kountze. Visitation is Monday, December 01, 2014 at the funeral home. Mrs. Broussard died November 30, 2014 at Silsbee Convalescent Center. A native of San Augustine County, she was a long time resident of this area. Mrs. Broussard is preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Alice Bristen Simmons; husband Joseph L Broussard; daughter Robbie Keown; brothers Henry and Walter Simmons and sisters Gladys Smith, Gertrude Frazier and Irene Frazier. She is survived by her granddaughter Veronica Thornton and great grandchildren, Dr. Jeremy Thornton, Jarrod Thornton and Jacob Thornton.

I was so sad to hear of Mutt's passing. She was a long time friend of my Grandparents(Pete and Eula Jordan). They loved her dearly. My thoughts and prayers to her family.

Another long time Kountze resident passes and we are all the poorer. I can't recall not seeing the Broussards at First Baptist - sitting in their usual pew. Her daughter went to school with my sister. Mr. Broussard visited my dad once daddy was unable to attend church. Prayers for the family and for their many friends whose lives they touched for many years and decades.
