Choren Davis, 95, of Silsbee went to be with her Lord Monday, December 1, 2014. She was born December 30, 1918 in DeRidder LA to Ella and John Jarrell. She lived most of her life in Silsbee.
She was very active in the church and the Lord was an integral part of her life. She was a member of Pinecrest Baptist Church. Mrs. Davis held various jobs throughout her working career.
Choren enjoyed traveling and took many trips with her family. She was well known for her cooking and loved having family and friends over to enjoy it. Family was everything to her and her life centered around them. She was affectionately known as 'Ma' to everyone.
Mrs. Davis is preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Edward Davis.
Survivors include her daughters Gwen Dehart of Silsbee and Gayle Pringle of Sugar Land; grandchildren Darlene Mannino, Darryl DeHart, Kevin DeHart and wife Paula; seven great grandchildren; four great, great grandchildren; sister Lemoine Hooks of Silsbee; sister-in-law Veonia Jarrell of Beaumont; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services are 11:00 am Thursday, December 4, 2014 at Farmer Funeral Home with interment following in Resthaven Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 5:00 pm Wednesday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Davis will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
