Elsie M. Aliff, 78, of Proctorville, Ohio passed away Wednesday December 17, 2014 at home. She was born December 10, 1936 in Huntington, WV, daughter of the late Iddo and Earnestine Chapman Hayes. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, the love of her life, Thomas A. Aliff; two brothers Charles Iddo Hayes and Donald Lee Hayes; two sisters Reba Hayes and Thelma Hayes-McMillian; an infant twin; a niece Debra Burcham Haskins, step grandson David Walker; and step daughter-in-law Juanita Aliff. She is survived by her loving family; one sister and best friend Dorothy Burcham of Athalia, Ohio; beloved niece Delana (Steve) White of Proctorville, Ohio; great nephew and pal Nicholas White of Proctorville, Ohio; step-son and buddy Joey (Tammy) Aliff of Proctorville, Ohio; her other loving nieces Rhonda Day of Proctorville, Ohio, Denise (Brian) Leftow of England, Rita (Mike) Smith of Louisiana, Donna McMillian (Steve) Bayne; loving nephew Jeff (Laura) Hayes of Charleston, WV.; loving sister-in-law Ernestine Hayes; step-children Bryan Aliff, Mike Aliff, Betty (Gary) Walker all of Huntington, WV; and many other family members to include great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews. She was a special maw maw to Mary Beth and Matthew Aliff, Michelle, Gary, and Jeff; and would have been a special great maw maw to an unborn great grandson due in February, 2015. She was retired from The Huntington Store, Huntington, WV. Funeral service will be conducted 11 a.m. Saturday December 20, 2014 at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, Ohio by Pastor Meredith Turley. Burial will follow in Rome Cemetery, Proctorville, Ohio. Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday December 20, 2104 at the funeral home. Flowers are appreciated, or memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Huntington or a charity of ones choice. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.timeformemory.com/hall.
