Beckie Lynn Cogswell Click for Condolences      Printable Version 1955 - 2014 Beckie Lynn Cogswell, age 59 of Sidney, died Thursday, December 18, 2014 at Spectrum Health Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids. She was born September 29, 1955 of Ionia, the daughter of Fred and Helen (Millard) Kirby. On July 1, 1972, she married Dennis V. Cogswell. Beckie worked at the D.L. Petersen General Store in Sidney for many years. She was a longtime Sidney resident, and was very friendly and outgoing to everybody she met. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, and will be deeply missed, especially by her husband of 42 years, Dennis; children, Kristie (Ron) Taylor, Jerry (Lisa) Cogswell, and Mary (Ryan) Thompson; grandchildren, Kelsey, Owen, Luke, Evan, and Eleanor; great-grandchild, Ciel; brothers, Robert (Yoko) Ward and William (Diann) Ward; sister, Robin (Gerald) Kiste; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, December 23, 2014 at Hurst Funeral Home, Greenville, Pastor Dennis Ross of Nevins Lake Church officiating. Visitation will be Monday from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Memorial contributions may be given to the Cogswell family.

So sorry to hear of your loss...many great memories of buying wiffle balls and baseball cards from Beckie at the store. She will be missed by all of those that knew her.
