Carolyn and Family. We are so sorry for your loss. Earl was a very good friend and neighbor when Mom and Dad moved back to Proctorville in 1975. Such a dear man. I'll never forget his laugh. Peace be with you. I am sorry I couldn't be there but just today went to dr myself and need not be around anyone to spread my germs. Love you

Earl (Doodaddy) was a grandfather to me for some of the most formative years of my childhood. I still appreciate what a wealth of knowledge he had and was willing to share with me. In a few months I'll be completing my Ph.D. in mathematics --- something that I'd like to think would have made him proud. Condolences to his family and everyone who loved him and learned from him. Goodbye, Doodaddy.

I had the honor of having Earl as my stepfather for many, many years. He stayed all night at the hospital with my mother, inlaws and husband waiting for my son to be born. My son gave him the name Doo Daddy when he was first learning to speak. That name was carried on with my sister's two children after that. Doo Daddy could do NO wrong in their eyes. Earl taught me, my sister our both of our husbands so many things about finance, building and much more. We quote him often. My ex husband told me he quotes him daily and that Earl was the most infuential man in his life and I feel the same. He had a strong characture and did a lot for others. Having lived far away I have missed him dearly over the years. It is with many tears and sadness that I grieve I won' t see him again in this world, but joy comes when we all reunite one day in Heaven. Condolences to those who were with him and cared for him as he passed. Condolences to each family member. May the peace that passes all understanding comfort us all.
