Sara Wilkes Green, 68, of Chesapeake, Ohio passed away Thursday, January 1, 2015 at home. She was born May 17, 1946 in Ironton, Ohio daughter of the late William Harrison and Minnie Holland Wilkes. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by three brothers Harry Wilkes, Roy Wilkes and Joe Wilkes; and one sister Cora Scarberry. She is survived by one daughter Bobbie Buchanan and finance Joe Foster of Gastonia, NC; one son Willis and Tammy Wilkes of Milton, WV; five grandchildren Bobby Lee Buchanan, Shane Wilkes, Shawn Slone, Matthew Wilkes and Carson Wilkes; eight great grandchildren; one brother Ernie Wilkes of Chesapeake, Ohio; five sisters Naomi Mitchell of Proctorville, Ohio, Mable Wilkes of Portsmouth, Ohio, Georgia Kincaid of Huntington, WV, Margaret Blizzard of South Point, Ohio, Faye (Richard L.) Watters of Indianapolis, IN; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be conducted 12 noon Monday, January 5, 2015 at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, Ohio by Pastor Eddie Salmons. Burial will follow in Miller Memorial Gardens, Miller, Ohio. Visitation will be held 11 a.m. to 12 noon Monday, January 5, 2015 at the funeral home.
