I met Dave for the first time around 1975 while working for Hawes Electric, I was a young apprentice Dave was a man that young men should meet, his smile said it all. I worked with him through the years and it was always a pleasure. He was a man that set the mark for the rest of us. He will be missed as a friend and fellow IBEW electrician. Jennings Copley

My thoughts and prayers are with the family today. David was a true blessing to us in Voluntary service at the Huntington VA Medical Center. He blessed my heart to work with as well as all of those he came in contact with. He will be greatly missed. His smile was contagious. His kind sweet spirit and caring heart and presence was felt by all. Our loss is definitely Heavens gain.

I am very saddened to hear of Dave's passing....I pray our Lord will comfort his family and friends. Trust in the Lord. Dave was a fine human being. I will miss him at the SOARA meetings and especially at the Memorial Day Parade in Ironton each year. We are both Navy veterans and "Tin Can" sailors and we shared a lot of sea stories....Fair Winds and Following Seas Shipmate......
