Betty Fern Childers, age 85, of South Point, Ohio, went to be with Jesus on January 11, 2015 at Rivers Bend Health Center, South Point, Ohio. Betty had lived with Alzheimers since 2004, but is now completely healed and in the presence of her Savior. She married Kenneth, the love of her life, on April 30, 1949 and raised three children with tremendous love and sacrifice. She is survived by her daughter, Wendy Childers Tooley, son-in-law, Tracy Tooley. She was also blessed with her grandchildren Kadin Tooley, Konner Tooley, and Andy Hall, along with his wife Keri; and great grandchildren Sydnee Hall, Natalee Hall and Mylee Hall. She is also survived by her sister, Maxine Wilkes, and many loved nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth; her son Kenny; daughter, Rebecca Nance; brothers Shirld Sites and Charles Sites; and her sisters, Mary McComas and Dorothy Carrico. There will be a visitation on Tuesday, January 13 from 6:00-8:00 at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, Ohio to remember and celebrate her life and her love for the Lord. The funeral service will also be at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory on Wednesday, January 14 at 2 p.m. with Pastor Tracy Tooley from reGeneration Church, Huntington, WV officiating. The family would like to thank Rivers Bend Nursing Home in South Point, Ohio and St. Marys Medical Center in Huntington, WV. Special thanks to them for the way they took care of her with love and kindness. God truly used these two facilities in Bettys life.
