Minnie Mae Fortner France, 77, of Huntington, WV passed away Tuesday, January 13, 2015 at The Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House, Huntington, WV. She was born March 10, 1937 in Huntington, WV daughter of the late Raymond and Virginia Virgie Kipp Fortner. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband James Walter France; special granddaughter Jamie Dills; grandson Michael Lee France, Jr.; and four siblings Raymond, Jr., George, Robert and Charles Fortner. She is survived by seven children Michael (Heidi) France, Debra (Howard) Early, Carol (Willy) Walters, Teresa (Richard) Trippett, Christy (Joe) McCoy, Janice (Craig) Dills, and Malinda (Ronnie) Ellis; 19 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; three siblings Anna Moore, Helen Keeney, and James Fortner; numerous nieces and nephews including a special niece Colene Mercier; and a host of friends. Funeral service will be conducted 2 p.m. Friday, January 16, 2015 at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, Ohio by Pastor Tom Jones. Burial will follow in Miller Memorial Gardens, Miller, Ohio. Visitation will be held 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday, January 15, 2015 at the funeral home.
