1923 - 2015
 Ruth Virginia Beckett McCoy, 91, of Milton, passed away January 19, 2015, at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House. She was born November 9, 1923, in Huntington, WV, a daughter of the late Oliver Simpson Lee Beckett and Rachel Naomi Rimmer Beckett. She retired from the Corp of Engineers and was a member of Milton Baptist Church. She was a veteran of the United States Navy having served during World War II. She was also preceded in death by her husband Joseph L. McCoy and her sister Mary Frances Beckett Rose. She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law Richard J. "Rick" and Karen Marie McCoy; one sister Naomi Lee Beckett Turner; one brother and sister-in-law Harry R. "Buddy" and Betty Beckett; three grandchildren and their spouses Kelley Marie McCoy (Dan) Sava, Sarah Elizabeth McCoy, and Carrie Lynn McCoy (Josh) Lockhart; great grandchildren Grace, Lucille, and Kaelin; special niece Karen Ruth Morrison; many loving nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Wallace Funeral Home, Milton. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, January 23, 2015, at Wallace Funeral Home, Milton. Burial will be in Forest Memorial Park, Milton. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Huntington P.O. Box 464, Huntington, WV, 25709. I'm so sorry for your loss. Ruth Virginia went through so much over the last few years, she was a fighter. I apologize for not attending, out of town on business. I'll keep you and your family in my thoughts and prayers.
